KAMARAJAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Kamarajar's Birthday was celebrated on 15/07/2019 in our school in a grand manner. As a part of celebration, music, drawing, essay and oratorical competitions conducted standard wise to portrait Kamarajar’s elevations as a simple person to a successful Kingmaker of Indian Cabinet.

Selvi.R.Maria Rubini (XII-C4) gave a warm welcome address. Presidential speech was given by Selvi.K.Deepika (XII C2). Poetry on Kamarajar was read by Selvi.R.Jayapriya -XII-C1. A song and dance that portrays Kamarajar's feat were given by Selvi.R.Yuvathi,-XI-A2 and our students respectively. Selvi.B.Swathy,XII-A2, chief guest of this function delivered her wonderful speech. Our students listened to the fascinating speech given by her. Our Board members distributed the Prizes and Certificates to the Prize Winners.

INAUGURAL OF LITERARY ASSOCIATION MEETING IN MDGHSS

Literary Associations for Tamil & English was Inagurated on 26.06.19 in Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls' Hr Sec School in a grand manner. Mrs.K.Sasikala, M.Sc., M.Ed ., Headmistress of MDGHSS gave the welcome address. Our Retired Tamil Teacher Thirumathi.T.C.Janaky,M.A.,M.Ed.,presided over the function. Mr.P.Aadhimoolam, ( P.G.Asst in Tamil - St.Thomas Matric Hr Sec School) the guest speaker of Tamil & English Literary Associations respectively. Our students listen to the valuable advice given by the speaker.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION MEETING IN MDGHSS

PTA Meeting was held on 10/06/19 by 3p.m. in our school ARU SANKAR AUDITORIUM A/C hall. All New Students parents of our school are gathered. Our school Honourable Secretary Thiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran Avl, gave Welcome Address and informed about rules and regulations of our school, as well as he told how much care is given by school while dispersing in the evening followed by Mrs.N.Banumathi M.Com.,B.Ed.,M.Phil., gave certain tips about the duties of our parents . Mrs.P.Yogalakshmi M.A., B.Ed.,M.Phil., in her talk she told certain disciplinary activities followed by our students. Mrs.A.V.Aneetha B.A.,B.Ed., informed the parents about the various club activities with their mottos and how students are motivated to take active participation . All our Sports activities and victories are enumerated by our Physical Education Teacher Mrs.P.Vasanthy B.Sc.,B.Lit.,M.A.,B.PEd., Finally Our Headmistress Mrs.K.Sasikala M.Sc.,M.Ed., addressed the parents, through that she insisted about school timing. How parents should co-operate to mould a child along with teachers, also she advised parents to give nutritious food to students and alarming the parents to check their wards behaviour and attitude changes through spending more time with them.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS celebrated 70th Republic Day on 26/01/19 at 8.a.m in a grand manner. A warm welcome address was given by Our SecretaryThiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran,. Our School Alumnus Mrs.A.K.Kalaiselvi, M.A.,M.Phil ( Tamil Teacher, St.Annes Girls' HSS) hoisted the National Flag and Selvi.A.Preethy, D.E.C.E., (Traffic Controller, Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.,) gave an inspiring and wonderful speech and to the students. Cultural Programme and Patriotic Orations were given by our students..

As per the "Agenda to be discussed" prescribed by the Government, Parent Teachers Association meeting was conducted effectively after the flag hoisting ceremony. After discussing with the parents, resolutions were passed for the betterment of our school in various aspects like academic improvement of slow learners, the awareness regarding cleanliness of our school campus.

Tamil & English Literary Association validictory function was held on 24.01.19 in MDGHSS. Welcome address was given by Our Headmistress Mrs.K.Sasikala, M.Sc.,M.Ed.,. Thiru.K.Karthick,B.Sc., ( Member, K.C.S.N.M.E.I Committee) presided over the function. Munaivar Thiru.Mughilai Rajapandian, Avl (Former Registrar, Central Institute of Classical Tamil , Chennai) was the guest speaker of Tamil & English Literary Associations respectively. OATH TAKING CEREMONY IN MDGHSS

X STD & XII STD students appearing for State Board Examination this year took their pledge before the Holy Lamp with dignity and solemnity on 18/01/2019. Our Headmistress Mrs.K.Sasikala,M.Sc.,B.Ed., welcomed the gathering and motivated the students through her speech. Many of our esteemed Board Members graced the occasion with their presence. PONGAL DAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls' Hr Sec School celebrated 'PONGAL FESTIVAL' on 11.01.19 at 10 a.m. in a grand manner. Sweet Pongal is prepared on the stage and all worshipped the 'SUN GOD' along with Sugarcane, Turmeric etc. Tamil Nadu's traditional games like Pallanguzhi,Pandiyattam,Silammbattam,Uriadithal , Poo Thoduthal, Gramiya Nadanam were conducted. Board Members,Teachers and students participated enthusiastically and the school had a Gala Sangamam. Sweet Pongal is distributed to the students.

COMMITTEE FOUNDERS DAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

K.C.S.N.M.E.I.Committee celebrated Committee Founders day on 04.12.2018 at 3.00p.m in Aru.Sankar Auditorium A/C Hall in a grand manner. Committee Secretary Thiru.T.S.T.R.Chandramohan, welcomed the gathering. Our Chief Guest Mr.L.Senthivel, B.Com.,(President, T.S.T.Rajah Girls Matric HSS, Member, MDGHSS ) delivered his valuable speech through which he recalled the sacrifices of our founders and gave away prizes to Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS students. Felicitation song was sung by Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS students. Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS students from Std VI to XII Std participated in many Competitions.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls’ Hr.Sec.School celebrated its 55th Annual day on 25.10.2018 at 4.p.m.in a grand manner. Our Secretary, Thiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran, welcomed the gathering. Our School Annual report was read by our Headmistress, Mrs.K.Sasikala,M.Sc.,M.Ed.,. Thiru.T.S.T.R.Chandramohan, ( President, K.C.S.N.M.E.I Committee )presided over the function and headed by Thiru.V.K,Nagaraja (Secretary, K.C.S.N.M.E.I.Committee), Thiru.K.R.Venkatesan (Vice-President,K.C.S.N.E.I Committee).

Our Chief Guest Mr.A.Kaliyamurthy,T.P.S.,( Former Superintendent of Police, Thiruchirapalli District) delivered his valuable speech and gave away gold medals,Silver medals, and prizes to the school toppers and subject toppers respectively. Cultural programmes were given by our school students enthusiastically.

MUPPERUM VIZHA IN MDGHSS

One of our Founders, Thiru.Aru.Sankaralingam's Birthday, opening ceremony of the engraved stone plate and UNO day were celebrated as "MUPPERUM VIZHA" in our school Aru.Sankaralingam A/C Auditorium on 24.10.2018 in a very grand manner.Thiru.S.Rajasekaran,(Honarary Advisor, K.C.S.N.M.E.I.Committee) unveiled the engraved stone plate and also he gave his felicitative speech .Our Secretary Thiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran gave a warm welcome address to the gathering.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Teachers’ day celebration was held on 05.09.2018 at 3.30.p.m. in Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls’ Hr.Sec.School in a grand manner. Thiru.T.S.T.R.Chandramohan,(President, K.C.S.N.M.E.I.Committee, Former Secretary, MDGHS School) presided over the function.

Our Secretary Thiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran, welcomed the gatherings. Our choir girls sang a wonderful song to felicitate our teachers.

Our Chief guest Thiru.S.Thirumaran,B.A., (Member, MDGHS School) who made everybody to be transfixed by his inspirational speech. She honoured all the teachers by giving away prizes.The Management honoured our teachers Mrs.Jayaseeli Jothibai,B.Lit.,(B.T..Asst.in.Tamil) , Mrs.N.Latha,M.A.,T.T.C( Sewing Mistress, MDGHSS) who has completed 25 years and our retiring office staff Mrs.R.Chitra,B.A.,(Junior Assistant, MDGHSS) with Gold Medal and Certificates.

55th Annual Sports day was held on Thursday, 30th August 2018 at our school premises. Mrs.K.Sasikala,M.Sc.,M.Ed., ( Headmistress, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) gave a warm welcome address. Mr.S.Arunprasath,B.Com., (Member, T.S.T.Rajah Girls Matric HSS, inaugurated the sports meet at 2p.m.

Mr.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran, (Secretary, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) welcomed the gatherings. Inaugural speech was given by Mr.S.Arunprasath,B.Com., (Member, T.S.T.Rajah Girls Matric HSS,. In his inaugural speech, he stressed the importance of physical exercises. Annual report was read by Our Physical Directress, Mrs.P.Ponni, M.A.,M.P.Ed., M.Phil. Our Chief guest Selvi.L.Prathipa,M.A.,M.Phil (Old student, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS, International FIDE RATED Chess Player,Asst.:Professor, Dr.M.G.R.Janaki College of Arts & Science ) presided over the function. In her presidential address she stressed the significance of sports and gave some tips to improve our students skills. Then our Chief guest distributed the prizes.

PONGAL DAY CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls' Hr Sec School celebrated 'PONGAL FESTIVAL' on 11.01.18 at 10 a.m. in a grand manner. Sweet Pongal is prepared on the stage and all worshipped the 'SUN GOD' along with Sugarcane, Turmeric etc. Tamil Nadu's traditional games like Pallanguzhi,Pandiyattam,Silammbattam,Uriadithal and Manal Vilayattu were conducted. Teachers and students participated enthusiastically and the school had a Gala Sangamam. Sweet Pongal is distributed to the students.

Teachers’ day celebration was held on 5.09.2017 at 3p.m. in Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls’ Hr.Sec.School in a grand manner. Dr.Thiru.M.Gandhirajan,M.Sc.,M.Phil.,Ph.D(Member, K.C.S.N.M.E.I.Committee, Patron, Kalaimahal Viddyalaya Schools, Chennai-13) presided over the function.

Mr.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran, (Secretary, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) welcomed the gatherings. Inaugural speech was given by Mr.V.Naveenkumar,B.E.,(Member, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS, Treasurer, Kalaimagal Viddyalaya) . In his inaugural speech, he stressed the importance of physical exercises. Annual report was read by Our Physical Directress, Mrs.P.Ponni, M.A.,M.P.Ed., M.Phil, Our Chief guest, Mrs.R.Karthiga, B.E(Old student,Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS, International Fencer, Immigration Officer, Bureau Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Gol, Chennai ) presided over the function. PTA Meeting was held on 14/06/17 by 3p.m. in our school premises. All New Students parents of our school are gathered. Our school Honourable Secretary Thiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran Avl, gave Welcome Address and informed about rules and regulations of our school, as well as he told how much care is given by school while dispersing in the evening followed by Mrs.K.Chitra B.Lit.,M.A., gave certain tips about the duties of our parents . Mrs.N.Rajalakshmi B.A., B.Ed., in her talk she told certain disciplinary activities followed by our students. Mrs.P.Suchithra M.A.,B.Ed., informed the parents about the various club activities with their mottos and how students are motivated to take active participation . All our Sports activities and victories are enumerated by our Physical Education Teacher Mrs.P.Vasanthi B.Sc.,M.A.,B.PEd., Finally Our Headmistress Mrs.K.Sasikala M.Sc.,M.Ed., addressed the parents, through that she insisted about school timing. A Felicitation function for our retiring teacher Mrs.R.Maybel Mary Nesakumari,B.Sc.,M.A., B.Ed.,M.Phil.,( A.H.M and P.G. A warm presidential address was given by Our Former Secretary, MDGHSS, Thiru.T.S.T.R.Chandramohan, who honoured and felicitated our retiring staff. X STD & XII STD students appearing for State Board Examination this year took their pledge before the Holy Lamp with dignity and solemnity. Our Headmistress Mrs.D.Nirmala Rani, M.Com.,M.Ed.,M.Phil welcomed the gathering and motivated the students with her speech. Many of our esteemed Board Members graced the occasion with their presence. PONGAL CELEBRATION IN MDGHSS

Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls' Hr Sec School celebrated 'PONGAL FESTIVAL' on 12.01.17 at 10 a.m. in a grand manner. Sweet Pongal is prepared on the stage and all worshipped the 'SUN GOD' along with Sugarcane, Turmeric etc. Dance programme was given by our school students merrily.Sweet Pongal is distributed to the students.

53 rd Annual Sports day was held on Wednesday, the 4th January , 2017 at our school premises. Mrs.D.Nirmala Rani, M.Com., M.Ed.,M.Phil, ( Headmistress, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) gave a warm welcome address. Mr.V.K.Nagaraja (Member, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) inaugurated the sports meet at 2p.m.

Mr.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran, (Secretary, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) welcomed the gatherings. Inaugural speech was given by Mr.V.K.Nagaraja ( Member, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS). In his inaugural speech, he stressed the importance of physical exercises. Annual report was read by our Physical Directress ,Mrs.P.Ponni, M.A.,M.P.Ed., M.Phil, Our Chief guest, Selvi.C.A.Bhavani Devi, B.B.A.,(Old student,Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS, International Fencer) presided over the function. In her presidential address she stressed the significance of sports and gave some tips to improve our students skills. Then our Chief guest distributed the prizes.

EAST CHENNAI DISTRICT SPORTS MEET CONDUCTED BY MDGHSS

Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls' Hr. Sec. School organised the East Chennai Educational District Sports & Games for the year 2016-17. The final day of Atheletic meet was held on 25-10-2016 at Nehru Stadium.Our Headmistress Mrs.D.NirmalaRani, M.Com.,M.Ed.,M.Phil, welcomed the gatherings. 52nd Annual Guide Camp in MDGHSS

52 nd Annual Guide Camp was held in our school premises from 15.07.16 Friday to 17.07.16 Sunday in a grand manner. Thiru.S.Balasubramanian (Secretary.K.C.S.N.M.E.I.Committee)   presided over the function and   Thiru.R.Edison,M.Sc.,M.Ed.,M.Phil ( DEO, Chennai East, District Chief Commissioner, The Bharat Scouts & Guides)   inaugurated the guides camp on 15.07.16 Friday at 5 p.m.in a grand manner.

Grand camp fire and valedictory function was held on 16.07.16, Saturday at 5 p.m. in our school premises. The   Vice President of K.C.S.N.M.E.I. Committee Thiru.M.Srikanthan,B.Sc.,   presided over the function in the presence of Our School Assistant Secretary, Thiru.V.Anandhakumar, B.Sc.,.   Thiru.P.C.Veilumuthu, Former President, Member, Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls' Hr.Sec.School declared the camp fire open and delivered the valedictory Address.

PTA Meeting was held on 22/06/16 by 3p.m. in our school premises. Our Retired Staff Mrs G.Gowri B.Sc.,B.Ed., and Mrs. R.Roopavathy B.Lit.,M.A., are honoured by PTA members. All New Students parents of our school are gathered. Our school Honourable Secretary Thiru.T.S.T.R.Premkumaran AVL, gave Welcome Address and informed about rules and regulations of our school, as well as he told how much care is given by school while dispersing in the evening followed by Mrs.K.Prabhavathy B.Sc., B.Ed., gave certain tips about the duties of our parents . Mrs.S.Helene M.A., B.Ed.,M.Phil in her talk she told certain disciplinary activities followed by our students. Mrs.I.Karkin Jenova,M.Sc.,B.Ed.,M.Phil, informed the parents about the various club activities with their mottos and how students are motivated to take active participation . All our Sports activities and victories are enumerated by our Physical Director Mrs.P.Ponni B.A.,M.PEd.,M.Phil, Finally our Headmistress Mrs.D.Nirmala Rani M.Com.,M.Ed.,M.Phil., addressed the parents, through that she insisted about school timing. How parents should co-operate to mould a child along with teachers, also she advised parents to give nutritious food to students and alarming the parents to check their wards behaviour and attitude changes through spending more time with them.

A Power Point Presentation stressing the “Importance of Paying Tax” was given by the Income Tax Department officials to our Commerce Department students which was held at our campus on 29.12.2015.

The officials gave a Vivid Picture about the importance and benefits of paying tax, why we should not avoid paying tax. They ended their presentation by saying,“The taxes paid by you make ‘INDIA' “. 52 nd Annual Sports day was held on Wednesday, the 26 th August, 2015 at our school premises. Mrs.D.Nirmala Rani, M.Com., M.Ed.,M.Phil, ( Headmistress, Muruga Dhanushkodi GHSS ) gave a warm welcome address. Mr.K.Elango, B.A., (Member, MUruga Dhanushkodi GHSS) inaugurated the sports meet at 2p.m.

In his inaugural speech, he stressed the importance of physical exercises. 51st Annual Guide Camp was held in our school premises from 24.07.15 Friday to 26.07.15 Sunday in a grand manner.
